21st Century Partners with Two Kids at Colorado FFA’s Meat & Greet

21st Century Partners with Two Kids at Colorado FFA’s Meat & Greet

Colorado Future Farmers of America held their annual “Meat & Greet” event at the National Western Complex on November 13. 21st Century Equipment was thrilled to be part of the festivities again as a bidder on the exhibitors’ “partner experience.” Meat & Greet is a CO FFA Foundation fundraiser for scholarships, and this year they raised over $110,000 for Colorado students!

Featured exhibitors are Colorado kids who are on their way to January’s National Western Stock Show (also held in Denver. Bidders at the Meat & Greet auction are able to partner with kids to receive regular news during their journey.  Categories include beef, swine, goats and sheep, and 21st won the “partner experience” for two exhibitors this year. The two are Tenley Becker from Holyoke with her cow, Uno, and Addison Hodgson from Greeley with her pig, Thunder!

21st Century Equipment was also able to contribute to four other kids at the auction in the form of a “shareholder” style partnership. This includes as many bidders as are interested, who can donate funds to help these exhibitors with their mission.  21st Century was able to partner with one kid in each category of beef, swine, goat, and sheep. In addition to the exhibitors’ auction, the Meat & Greet offered an opportunity to sample chef-curated locally sourced dishes from each meat category, as well as ample opportunities to network with others in the ag industry.

Stay tuned in the near future as we have the chance to detail both Tenley and Addison’s journeys to their showing at 2025’s National Western Stock Show!
