DENVER, CO – Colorado Future Farmers of America (FFA) held their annual “Meat & Greet” event at the National Western Complex in Denver on the evening of Wednesday, November 19. 21st Century Equipment once again had the privilege to bid on the young exhibitors’ “partner experience.” This demonstrates how 21st Century’s support for young exhibitors remains crucial. Meat & Greet is a CO FFA Foundation fundraiser for scholarships benefiting Colorado students. 21st was thrilled to be able to offer $15,000 in donations.
Featured exhibitors are Colorado kids on their way to January’s National Western Stock Show (also held in Denver). Bidders at the Meat & Greet auction partner with kids and their animals. They receive regular communications and news during their journey. Categories are for beef, swine, goats, and sheep. 21st Century Equipment is proud to have won the “partner experience” bid with Keith Page from Akron, Colorado this year. He will be exhibiting his goat at the NWSS.
21st Century Equipment was also able to contribute to four other kids who showed their animals at the auction. This was in the form of a “shareholder” style partnership. As many bidders as are interested can donate funds to help these exhibitors with their mission. 21st Century was able to partner with one kid in each category of beef, swine, goat, and sheep. In addition to the exhibitors’ auction, the Meat & Greet offered an opportunity to sample chef-curated locally sourced dishes from each meat category. It also provided ample opportunities to network with others in the ag industry.
