1996

21st Century Equipment, Inc., was organized to purchase the John Deere dealership in Alliance, NE. Plains Implement had been owned and operated by the McAndrew family since 1949.

1998

21st Century Equipment in Alliance was merged with Morrill County Implement in Bridgeport, NE, which then assumed the name of 21st Century Equipment, Inc. Morrill Co. Implement had been owned and operated by the Lapaseotes & Faessler families since 1978.

2000

Keith County Implement in Ogallala, NE, was purchased, and the name was changed to 21st Century Equipment, Inc. Keith Co. Implement had been owned and operated by LD & Sherri Walker since 1986.

2001

21st Century Equipment, Inc., purchased the B&B Sales facility in Sidney, NE. At the time of the acquisition, B&B Sales was a Ford/New Holland equipment dealership. 21st Century Equipment converted the existing facility into a John Deere dealership. The Sidney area had been without a John Deere dealership for more than two years.

2006

21st Century Equipment, Inc., purchased Modern Farm Equipment Corporation. Modern Farm Equipment had been owned by Gary & Carla Cranston since 1979. In 1999, the employees also became part owners. The managers and owners jointly agreed to sell their John Deere dealership to 21st Century Equipment in the spring of 2006, with contracts being finalized in June of 2006.

2007

The Bridgeport Equipment facility (former International Harvester dealership) in Bridgeport, NE, was purchased. After extensive remodeling, the company opened up a reconditioning center and a company training center in this downtown Bridgeport facility.

2008

21st Century Equipment, Inc., is reorganized as a Limited Liability Company (LLC), and the new name of the company is 21st Century Equipment, LLC.

2008

The stock and assets of Midwest Farm Equipment, Inc., located in Imperial, NE, were purchased by 21st Century Equipment, LLC. Midwest Farm Equipment was owned by Jerry Wood & Rodney Johnson at the time of the acquisition. The business included a Reinke center pivot dealership and is also an authorized Cummins distributor.

2010

21st Century Equipment, LLC, purchased the assets of Irrigation Specialties, a Valley center pivot dealership located in Gering, NE. The name was changed to 21st Century Water Technologies, LLC. In November 2010, 21st Century Water Technologies became the first agricultural dealership in North America to be appointed an official John Deere Water Dealer, extending their offerings to include subsurface drip irrigation and soil moisture management tools.

2011

On April 28, 2011, the existing six locations of 21st Century Equipment, LLC, merged with the five locations of Kay Jan, Inc. The company retained the name 21st Century Equipment, LLC, and the venerable name, Kay Jan, Inc., was retired.

2013

21st Century Equipment, LLC, purchased MV Equipment. MV Equipment was owned by Jerry & Shelley McArthur at the time of the acquisition. The purchase added five locations in eastern Colorado: Sterling, Holyoke, Burlington, Yuma and Wray.

2015

21st Century Equipment purchased Scottsbluff, NE, and Torrington, WY, from the Frank family. Frank Implement was started in 1957 by Herman Frank and was operated by the Frank family for almost 60 years. The Torrington, WY, location was purchased by Roger Frank in 1995. Also included in the acquisition of Frank Implement was Panhandle Acceptance Company, better known as PAC, which is a farm equipment leasing company. This entity has subsequently been renamed 21st Century Leasing, LLC

2023

In June 2023, the Ag sector of 4Rivers merged with 21st Century Equipment. This added 10 additional locations in Wyoming and Colorado to our AOR: Laramie, Cheyenne, Ft Collins, Greeley, Longmont, Strasburg, Pueblo West, Rocky Ford, Lamar, and Holly.

Present

Today, our organization is financially sound, rich in employee experience and well-positioned to meet the challenges of 21st century agriculture.

My passion for agriculture started in high school when I attended the USDA Ag Discovery learning about agricultural opportunities. I then continued my education at Colorado State University in Ag Business while interning at Trimble as an Ag Support Representative. After graduation I joined 21st Century as a Precision Ag Consultant. Allowing me to support customer growth in precision agriculture while working with a dedicated, and driven team.
