Big Dig Colorado 2025: Kids, Controls, and a Great Cause

BIG DIG COLORADO 2025 COMING SOON
Every kid (and most adults) has looked at a mini excavator and thought, "I bet I could operate that." In "The Backyard," we believe in turning those "big dig" dreams into reality, especially when it helps our community "excavate" a path toward a cure for cancer.
At 21st Century Equipment, we’ve built our long-standing history on more than just selling iron; we’re dedicated to supporting the families who live and work alongside us. We are thrilled to invite you back for Big Dig Colorado 2025, an event that proves a little dirt on the hands can put a lot of hope in the heart.
What Makes Big Dig Colorado a Must-Attend Event?
We take a "Customer-First" perspective on community involvement, and Big Dig is the ultimate "sandbox" for all ages. It’s a rare chance to get hands-on with the equipment our technicians know inside and out, all while raising vital funds for the American Cancer Society (ACS).
Highlights of the 2025 event include:
- Real Equipment Operation: Take the sticks of a John Deere mini excavator under the guidance of our experts.
- 70-Foot Obstacle Course: Test your agility on a massive, family-friendly inflatable challenge.
- Sold-Out Legacy: Last year, over 350 neighbors helped us raise $125,000, and we’re aiming to top that total this September!
How Does This Event Help Our Local Families Battle Cancer?
In "The Backyard," we know that cancer affects almost everyone in our community in some way. By partnering with the American Cancer Society, we aren't just hosting a fun day; we are fueling a mission that has helped lead to a 33% drop in the overall cancer death rate since 1991.
Your participation supports:
- Life-Saving Research: Funding the next breakthrough in treatments and cures.
- 24/7 Support: Ensuring families have a place to turn at any hour of the day or night.
- Advocacy & Prevention: Promoting healthy lifestyles and policy changes that protect our local farmers, ranchers, and homeowners.
Expert Support and Safety at the Controls
Safety is our "North Star." Our factory-certified technicians—many of whom have decades of experience with John Deere’s compact construction lineup—will be on-site to ensure every mini excavator operator has a safe and successful "dig."
We emphasize the same hands-on knowledge and attention to detail at this event that we do in our service bays. We want your kids to leave the event not just with a smile, but with a newfound respect for the machines that build our Colorado communities.
Common Questions About Big Dig Colorado 2025
Where can I get tickets for Big Dig Colorado 2025? Because the 2024 event was completely sold out, we highly recommend securing your tickets early via the officialBig Dig Colorado website. This is one event where you don't want to be left at the "fence" looking in!
Can children of all ages operate the mini excavators? Big Dig is designed to be family-friendly. While our experienced staff provides close supervision, age and height requirements may apply to specific pieces of equipment to ensure everyone stays safe in the "Backyard."
How can I help if I can’t attend on September 6th? You can still make a massive impact! We encourage our neighbors to Donate to the American Cancer Society directly or sign up to Volunteer for Big Dig. Every hand on deck helps us reach our goal of ending cancer as we know it.
Is there a cost for the activities beyond the ticket price? Most activities, including the obstacle course and equipment operation, are included with your event entry. It’s a consultative environment where our team is happy to answer questions about the machinery while the kids have the time of their lives.

About American Cancer Society
The mission of the American Cancer Society is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
While most people know them for their research, they do so much more. Working to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Advocating for lifesaving policy changes. Promoting healthy lifestyles to help you prevent cancer. Researching cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatments. And they do it all 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The American Cancer Society is proud to have contributed to the work that has resulted in a 33% drop in the overall cancer death rate in the United States. That drop equates to 3.8 million fewer cancer deaths between 1991 and 2023.
